Privacy policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy explains how Altamira Systems LLC, based in Florida, United States, operates bnbutils and handles information when you visit or use its tools.
Information you enter in tools
Calculations, printable materials, and Wi-Fi QR codes are created in your browser. The site does not send your tool inputs or results to bnbutils or write them to the usage dataset. The tools do not require an account.
Your browser or device may retain form data, downloads, copied text, or printed files. Clear those copies using your browser or device controls when you no longer need them. A Wi-Fi QR code contains the network name and password in readable encoded form; share it only with people you trust.
Optional accounts
If you create an account, your email address and password are sent to bnbutils to register or sign in. Cloudflare D1 stores your email address, a salted password hash, account role, and account creation and last sign-in times. It does not store your password itself. An administrator can see aggregate signup counts in the admin dashboard. Calculator inputs and generated content are not stored in the account.
The site uses secure session cookies when you sign in. The session cookie is HttpOnly and expires after 30 days; a separate cookie indicates that you are signed in. Signing out clears both cookies. Session records contain a hash of the session token and are deleted on sign-out or during later session activity when expired; expiry does not guarantee immediate removal of a database record.
To limit sign-in and signup attempts, the site stores hashes of the email address and IP address with attempt times. Old attempt records are cleaned up during later qualifying attempts, so they are not necessarily deleted immediately after the limit window. Account records do not have an automatic expiry. Contact us about account or data requests; retention of backups and security records can differ.
When configured, the signup page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent abuse. It loads a Cloudflare script and sends the challenge response and IP address to Cloudflare for verification. Cloudflare handles this information under its privacy policy.
Usage counts
To understand which tools are used, the site records an event when a tool is opened or a result is produced, and for tool links and copy, print, or download actions. Each event contains its type, the tool name, the source page path, and the UTC hour. The event does not contain the values you typed or a visitor identifier. The site does not use a cookie for these counts.
When your browser exposes Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control to the page, the page does not send usage events. The server also drops events received with either signal in the request headers. These controls do not prevent the ordinary network requests needed to load the site.
Counts are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. Cloudflare states that data written there is retained for three months. This period applies to the Analytics Engine dataset, not necessarily to any exported reports or other Cloudflare records. See Cloudflare's retention documentation.
Hosting and network requests
Cloudflare hosts the site and receives the network requests needed to deliver pages and process counts. These requests can include your IP address, URL, and request headers. Cloudflare may process traffic and security information separately from the usage dataset. Its retention for those records is not established by the three-month Analytics Engine period. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy for its practices.
What this browser stores
If you select a light or dark theme, the site may save that choice in this browser's session storage. It lasts for the browsing session and is not sent to bnbutils.
While you move between tools in one visit, the site may save the numbers and text you typed in this browser's session storage, one entry per tool, so a tool can show them again if you come back during that visit. Wi-Fi network names and passwords are not included. Closing the browser clears session storage. The site does not send those saved inputs.
If you open a tool yourself, the site may save that tool's name in this browser's local storage so the home page can open it next time. That entry is the tool name only. It is not sent to bnbutils. Your browser controls can clear local storage and session storage.
Questions and your choices
Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information. To ask a question or make a request about this policy, contact Altamira Systems LLC at contact@altamirasys.com. We may need information to understand and respond to your request. The usage dataset does not include a visitor identifier, so it may not be possible to associate a count with a particular person.
If you email us, your email provider and ours will process the message and the address you use. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your question.
