Wi-Fi QR code generator
Create a printable guest Wi-Fi code locally, without sending the network name or password anywhere.
Printable Wi-Fi code
Enter valid network details to generate a QR code.
Guest Wi-Fi
WPA protected
Print a tent card or sign with this same connection text.
The QR code contains the network name and password in plain encoded text. Display it only where trusted guests can see it.
The Wi-Fi card generator prints this code on a tent card or a sign. The password stays in your browser. What to put on your Airbnb Wi-Fi sign and guest welcome info is a checklist for the network lines and the welcome note beside the card.
What the result means
Core formula
WIFI:T:{security};S:{network};P:{password};H:{hidden};; - The browser creates a standard WIFI payload from the network name, security type, password, and hidden-network setting.
- A local JavaScript library converts that payload into the QR image; no request is sent to bnbutils or another server.
- The downloaded PNG can be printed, placed in a welcome book, or added to a guest guide.
- The code contains the credentials in readable encoded text, so it should be treated like a printed password.
These are planning estimates, not financial, tax, legal, or market advice. Test conservative scenarios and verify important assumptions independently.
Before you use the result
Does bnbutils receive my Wi-Fi password?
No. The payload and QR image are generated inside your browser. This static site has no endpoint that receives or stores the form values.
Is the password encrypted inside the QR code?
No. A Wi-Fi QR code encodes connection details but does not encrypt them. Anyone who can scan the code may be able to read and use the credentials.
What security type should I select?
Use WPA for modern WPA, WPA2, or WPA3 guest networks. WEP is only for legacy routers. Select open network only when no password is required.
Should I use my main home network?
A separate guest network is safer when your router supports one. It can isolate guest devices from personal computers, storage, and smart-home administration.
Can I print this as a guest card?
Yes. The Wi-Fi card generator uses this same connection text on a table tent, a half-page sign, or an A5 sign. It is listed with the other tools. The password still stays in your browser.
